There are seven holy rivers in India. Lord Shiva meditated so hard that he started perspiring and the sweat flowing created the Narmada river. Some (meteoric ?) stones flow from the source and are eroded by the river until a particular shape. Those holy stones named Shiva Lingams are gathered once a year during a ceremony by Brahmin famillies.

There shape represent the phallus of the Hindu god Shiva and the cosmic egg, out of which all creation emerged. This is an harmony and balance symbol of opposites such as the union between male and female principles or body and soul.

My Shiva Lingams are interpretations of this harmony principle. I am searching a perfect curve in the shape. The flow is comming from inside, layer by layer, ephemeral to permanant, motion to standstill.
